Two Faces of Hell

The Vision of Ezekiel Thorn

“The key phrase is here, ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’, for its pages tell an amazing, mind-rousing story set in a small town in Georgia, 1919. Ezekiel Thorn is a black preacher. On a hazy Sunday afternoon, he is inside his church, reeling from a good day’s service, when he is attacked by the Ku Klux Klan. In a coma, Ezekiel leaves his body. What he Experiences dissolves everything he has ever known and preached, transforming him into a new man of fearlessness and strength. He returns to consciousness, in more ways than one, and determinedly sets about with a new mission that wakes up everybody in the sleepy, stagnant town. This tale is intricately crafted, with surprises and twists seeping from every nook and cranny, each handled with control and grace. As well as being entertaining, this book also feeds the mind. You are sure to find yourself challenging your own beliefs and pouring over the same thoughts that shook up Ezekiel’s world. A gripping, provocative story. Film producers, directors and screenwriters: form an orderly queue.”

GLEANER (UK) BOOK REVIEW

TWO FACES OF HELL

Shyanne Ebelysa

“If you ever felt that you were comfortable with what you knew culturally and spiritually, Two Faces of Hell will take you even further.

This is one book that will either shock you or make you stronger, maybe both. It reads like a very important life saving operation, the kind of book that has the potential to make you think black and think differently. An exciting supernatural adventure. A good read.”

Small Excerpt

It had not yet begun to rain but the sudden twilight, the continual rumble of thunder sounding in the distance and the wild flashes of lightening told it’s own story. Bad weather was imminent, a storm could well be brewing and once again, the early cloak of darkness, would serve as the cover for evil intent.

The Sheriff  had called the meeting himself. They had gathered together at the usual meeting place to discuss the coming lynching.  Suddenly, Keleb exclaimed, startled.

“What the dang hell was that?”

The men exchanged glances and looked around, then they looked at Keleb puzzled.

“What you talking about?” they questioned in unison.

And as they schemed and plotted their next move, how were they to know that unseen eyes watched their every motion, unseen ears listened to their every conversation of conspiracy and that their time of retribution was fast approaching.

And he who has been to the other side and come back. Why was he allowed to come back? How has this experience changed him? Could he ever be the same again? Could he change anything? After all, evil was commonplace in his environment and had been so for hundreds of years.
